and leg injuries suffered while playing sport can be treated. Often
the injury occurs because of an underlying foot and leg imbalance.
This imbalance may not be a problem when walking but can become a
problem when exercising vigorously.
A
biomechanical assessment will be carried out
and this will identify the origin of the imbalance so that the
appropriate treatment can be prescribed.
A custom made
orthosis might be recommended. This is a soft or rigid innersole for
the shoe. It can provide support, increase shock absorption and
control abnormal or excessive foot and leg motion.
