Hibiscus
Radiology
is a small, friendly, high quality x-ray practice.
The main branch
is at 16 Moana Avenue, Orewa where plain x-rays plus all technical
examinations, such as barium x-rays and kidney x-rays, are performed
along with mammograms, all types of ultrasound scans and DEXA bone
density scans.
There are two other branches of the practice.
The
two principal Radiologists, Dr Christina Clee and Dr Anne
Harkness are both experienced Radiologists who have been
working here for over fifteen years, and are also consultants at
North Shore Hospital. Dr Peter Millener joined the practice
over three years ago. He is also an experienced radiologist and
is a part time consultant at North Shore Hospital as well.
Mammograms are
available at the Orewa lab.
One is in the
premises of CoastCare Accident and Medical Centre at Red Beach. Plain
x-rays are available there from 9am to 10pm seven days a week.
Our Warkworth branch at 7 Alnwick
Street is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm for plain x-rays.
Mammography and ultrasound scans are available Tuesdays and
Thursdays with ultrasound also most Wednesday afternoons.
Our Reception and
Radiographic staff are also very experienced. Some of them have
been with the practice for more than 15 years.
You are welcome to
phone any of the branches for an appointment. There is always a
Radiologist on site at Orewa for an opinion on urgent or emergency
x-rays.
Additionally, we
work under contract to the National Breast Screening Programme. We
take mammograms for them several days a week at our Orewa and
Warkworth branches. To make an
appointment for mammography on the National Breast Screening Programme
you need to phone the central office at 0800-270-200.
Heletranz airport service, provides
a 12 min air transport from Albany to Auckland Airport at any
time for Rodney and North Shore people. Cost $365 for one
person or $220 if you are one of a party of four travellers.
