Stephen Johnson is the Director of the Northern franchise of
Stonewood Homes, specialising in building in the area north of
Auckland including Omaha, Rodney and Ruakaka. Steve’s passion for
the area is reflected in his attention to detail and commitment to
quality construction.
Originally from London, Stephen moved to Auckland in 1975 and
established a career here in the online information database
industry which lead to postings in Scandinavia, Europe, USA and the
Pacific.
Having
always had a passion for building and being determined to return to
NZ, Stephen left Europe behind for good and returned to Auckland
where he set up his own development company building upmarket
properties in the Eastern Suburbs. Thus began his career in
building.
In the mid nineties, however, a chance meeting directed his
attention from development to design and building projects. He began
an eight year association with NZ largest volume builder, building
over 300 homes on Auckland's North Shore.
Stephen has now moved his building focus to his favourite part of
the world - the area north of Auckland.
Stephen and his wife Barbara have two children. He enjoys fishing,
snorkelling, skiing and spending time at his holiday home in Omaha.
