Not outside another

Rubbish must not obstruct any foot path or
carriageway.
Uncollected rubbish
must not remain in any public place
after the expiry of the day fixed for collection.
The business responsible for placing the
rubbish for collection must
remove it.
Wheelie bins must be used for
all food waste, not plastic rubbish
bags.
There
are 3 different rubbish collection contractors
for rubbish bags. Business owners must
telephone and arrange collection with
contractor and use their appropriate coloured bag.
If you wish to change contractors, please inform
them.
Cardboard boxes and newspapers:
Businesses must place their rubbish
kerbside, adjacent to their business. (refer to

If
collection time is on a public holiday, your rubbish
collection will be a day late.

NB:
It is very important that all cardboard
boxes are flattened and taped together. Do not make the
cardboard stacks too heavy as contractors can not throw
them into the truck. Newspaper should be contained in
supermarket bags and tied.
NB:
They also supply cardboard cages for
storage
Public Litter Bins around the Orewa Town Centre
Should be
emptied daily around 5pm. Bins that are over half full
should be emptied by the contractor. Businesses please
take a pro-active response with public litter bins, if
you notice that the bin near your business needs
emptying, ring the RDC at Ph:426 5169 and inform the
help desk.
