Stay Awhile! Come and experience the warm hospitality we have at Orewa. Its an ideal destination for a quick trip out of Auckland, or as a base for exploring the entire Hibiscus Coast region, or as a stopover on the way up north.  Where is Orewa? Orewa is just 20 north of Auckland. Take the motorway north and get off at the Silverdale junction, turn right onto State Highway 1 for about 5 km and you'll reach Orewa. Swim the Beach Take to the water Orewa Beach is a beautiful stretch of white sand. Sometimes the sea murmurs, and sometimes it roars. You see kids building sandcastles as high as themselves, and a lone fisherman dreaming of Marlin. Walk up to the lookout above the beach in the morning and see the sunlight break over the waves and cliffs.
